I had never come across this Brothers Grimm fairytale before. My 4-yr old cousin showed it to me and he apparently watches it before he goes to bed. I found it creepy when I first saw it especially the bit in the second half. Maybe it's the whole thing of watching a faiytale as an adult, it loses it's lightheartedness and we notice the slightly dark undertone more. Or maybe it's just me...
