Educational video which explains the Aurora Borealis. I found this a month ago after kind of trying to avoid looking at any films explaining the Aurora Borealis because I was afraid I would inadvertingly copy their explanation. However it's a really good explanation of the how the Aurora Borealis occur, simple and to the point.

Some of the things I have done for the 3rd year project. Not enough though, I need to storyboard on a larger scale and make lists, lots of lists

The Museum of Everything @ Selfridges

I have chosen to explain the Aurora Borealis and thought an animation would be a good way to explain it. I have been through a number of storyboards and tests as I was quite unsure about how to go about depicting the Sun. The first two are quite detail paintings of the surface of the Sun, which although I really like I found it hard to make it work (apologies for the dodgy quality). I also kept veering off the storyboard and changing my mind about certain bits such as in the third one the 'camera' moves across the sun and focuses on a part of the Sun (the drawing gets a bit faint here). I am most likely going to have someone narrating, if I feel the animation is working out well enough
